US: Optimal growing environment for vine tomatoes

Intergrow combines traditional growing methods with state of the art technology to produce the optimal growing environment for on the vine tomatoes. Based a few miles south of Lake Ontario in Upstate New York, the company can deliver tomatoes within just a day or two of harvesting.

Intergrow has 30 acres of Venlo glass greenhouses which produce 7000 tons per year. The company supplies mostly in the North East of America, from Illinois Michigan to new England states Maine. Being grower owned and managed "We feel we can provide the best quality and are constantly in touch with day to day business operations and decision making", Sarah Brown from Intergrow explains. Also by using no artificial lighting, rainwater for irrigation, and biomass wood boilers for heat, Intergrow is one of the most sustainable greenhouses in the business. Sarah says that the company also does the majority of their own shipping. "With Intergrow employees at the driver seat of our own trucks we can ensure the best quality and service at every point in our operation."

The company is in the permitting stages of an 18 acre expansion and would like to expand their business into the North East as well as the South East coast.
